When choosing jewelry, it’s essential to find the right size to ensure comfort and a perfect fit.
Measuring Your Ring Size
Using a tape measure
Wrap a tape measure, string, or strip of paper around your finger where the ring will fit. Mark where the ends meet and measure the length with a ruler.
Using an existing ring
Take a ring that fits well and measure the inside diameter in millimeters. After measuring, compare your results with a ring size chart. For the most accurate fit, measure your finger at the end of the day at room temperature. If you're choosing a wider ring, consider going up half a size for extra comfort.
Measuring the length of a necklace
- Measure and cut a piece of string to the length you want for your necklace.
- Wrap the string around your neck to see where the necklace will fit. Keep in mind that the size and shape of the pendant will also affect the overall length.
- Repeat the process for different necklace lengths to see how they will look together, especially if you plan to layer them.
